Apple Cider Granita
- 4 pouches Alpine® Original Spiced Apple Cider Mix
- 4 oz Calvados or your favorite apple brandy
- 2 1/2 cups water
Place all ingredients in an 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Stir until cider mix is dissolved. Place in freezer for 1 hour or until partially frozen. Using a fork, scrape frozen portion of mixture to create granita texture. Return to freezer and repeat scraping process every hour (about 3-4 hours total). Serve in chilled glasses.
Makes 6 servings.
Variation: Prepare as directed, pouring mixture into ice cube trays. Freeze until frozen solid. Place frozen cubes into a blender and puree. Serve in chilled glasses.
